<p>In memory of Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, 29, of Patchogue, N.Y., who was killed in Afghanistan June 28th, 2005.</p>
<p>This workout was one of Mike&#8217;s favorites and he&#8217;d named it &#8220;Body Armor&#8221;. From here on it will be referred to as &#8220;Murph&#8221; in honor of the focused warrior and great American who wanted nothing more in life than to serve this great country and the beautiful people who make it what it is.</p>
<p>Partition the pull-ups, push-ups, and squats as needed. Start and finish with a mile run. If you&#8217;ve got a twenty pound vest or body armor, wear it.</p>
<p>This a great WOD and a right of passage in CrossFit.  Memorial Day is a day to honor those who have given the ultimate sacrifice for us to live life as we do. What better way than to do a workout dedicated to a man who earned the name hero. Any one is welcome to join us, friends family members of other gyms etc. and everything can be scaled down for new and beginner crossfitters.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">If you want  more info on Murphy and the full story I fully recommend the book <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Lone-Survivor-Eyewitness-Account-Operation/dp/0316067598">&#8220;The Lone Survivor&#8221;</a> written by Marcus Lattrell, the only survivor of the mission Murphy was killed on.</p>

He was a recipient of the Silver Star, the third highest honor in the military, and a Purple Heart. Pat is survived by his wife Marie. On call of &#8220;rotate,&#8221; the athlete/s must move to next station immediately for good score. One point is given for each rep.</address>

<p>We will be having classes all weekend except Sunday. I&#8217;m going to Regionals that day and anyone is welcome to join me.</p>

Warmer weather means more sweat which is great for you guys but with more sweat comes more germs and nasty things follow that. So all I ask is that you grab the mop after your done and clean up the greasy spots left after your WOD.  I leave as much of a mess as anyone so don&#8217;t feel bad if you are one of the people who leaves a nice work of art such as a sweat angle behind.  Just make sure you mop it up when you finish please.</p>
